It is often said that not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers!

For all you folks who will not be participating in the “All Other Books Fast,” here is an easy way to view and access the SOMA library.  Over the next few weeks and months we will be loading the majority of SOMA’s books into the database.  If you find a book (or up to 4 books) that you’d like to read just click “Request This Book” and fill out the brief reservation form.  You’ll receive a confirmation message telling you that you can pick up your book(s) on the following Friday night!

Books can be checked out for four weeks.  Please feel free to take full advantage of this opportunity.  You’ll find solid Christian books on topics from Theology to Discipleship to Christian Living and much more!

On Sunday, September 27th, SOMA will be serving at Repossess, a community-wide event on the Capitol Campus where thousands of people will be exposed to the Gospel message and good news of Jesus Christ. We need volunteers who are able to help with setting up, tearing down, directing traffic, and such. We will be meeting at Calvary at 6pm to drive down together. Don’t forget to bring warm clothes and sturdy shoes.

On Saturday, September 12, SOMA is going to the car races at Gray’s Harbor Raceway in Elma. This is one of the highlights of the year, so don’t miss out! We will be meeting at Calvary at 6pm. The races start at 7pm and go until 10. If you are driving yourself, here’s a link to directions. Sometimes the dust and mud goes flying so you might want to bring some glasses and a garbage bag to change into. Can’t wait to see all of you there!
